Our commitment: gambling is entertainment, not income
We want every customer to play within limits they have chosen in advance. Gambling is a form of paid entertainment: your stakes buy the time you spend playing, and over many rounds the games keep a margin. A single session can end in a win, but no game, system or staking pattern removes that long-run margin.
Before you deposit, decide what that entertainment is worth to you for the week or the month, and treat the figure as a cost rather than an investment you expect to recover. When the figure is reached, stop until the next period instead of depositing more to win money back.
- Only stake money you can afford to lose once rent, bills, food and credit commitments are paid.
- Set a budget first, then set a matching deposit limit so the budget is held by your account rather than by willpower.
- Decide how long a session will last and stop when the time is up, not when the balance is gone.
- Never gamble to chase losses, to clear a debt, or with borrowed money.
- Avoid playing when you are upset, bored, under pressure or affected by alcohol.
The safer gambling tools in your account
The tools below are free and built into your account. You will find them together in the safer gambling or responsible gaming area of the cashier, and you can apply most of them yourself in a few clicks without contacting us.
| Tool | What it controls | When it takes effect |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | How much you can pay in per day, week or month | A reduction applies at once; an increase after a cooling-off period |
| Loss limit | Net losses allowed over the period you choose | A reduction applies at once; an increase after a cooling-off period |
| Session limit | How long a single logged-in session may last | From your next session |
| Reality check | A reminder on screen showing time played | From your next session |
| Time-out | A short, fixed break from play and deposits | As soon as you confirm it |
| Self-exclusion | A longer closure that cannot be lifted early | As soon as you confirm it |
Deposit, loss and session limits
Choose a daily, weekly or monthly amount you are comfortable with and we will decline deposits above it. Loss limits work in the same way against your net losses, and session limits end play once your chosen time has passed. Lowering or removing a limit downwards is immediate; raising one takes effect only after a cooling-off period and a second confirmation from you, so the decision is never made in the moment.
Reality checks
A reality check interrupts play at the interval you select and shows how long you have been logged in, together with the option to carry on or to leave. It is a useful setting if sessions tend to last longer than you intended.
Time-outs and self-exclusion
A time-out is a short break: your account is closed to play and to deposits for the period you pick, any remaining balance stays withdrawable, and access returns automatically when the period ends. Self-exclusion is for a longer stretch, cannot be shortened or cancelled once confirmed, and we will stop sending you marketing and close the account to new deposits for its full length. Both options are listed in the safer gambling area, and we can apply either one for you if you prefer.
How to switch a tool on
- Sign in and open the safer gambling or responsible gaming area of your account.
- Select the tool you need and the amount or period you want applied.
- Confirm the change and check the summary shown in your account settings.
- If you cannot find a setting, or you want it in place straight away, use the live chat on the site or write to support@casino-mrsloty.co.uk and we will apply it for you.
Signs that gambling may be causing harm
Gambling-related harm develops gradually, and the early signs are usually about money, time and mood rather than a single large loss. Go through the list below honestly and think about the past few months.
- You spend more than you planned, or gamble for longer than you intended, most times you play.
- You deposit again after a loss in order to win the money back.
- You use money set aside for bills, rent or food, or you borrow in order to play.
- You hide how much you gamble from family, friends or a partner.
- Gambling gets in the way of work, study, sleep or time with people close to you.
- You feel restless, low or irritable when you try to cut down or stop.
- Thinking about the next session takes up a large part of your day.
- You gamble to escape stress, loneliness or low mood rather than for entertainment.
If more than one of these sounds familiar, set a limit or take a time-out today and talk to one of the organisations below. Support is free and available whether or not you feel ready to stop completely.
Where to get free, confidential help
The organisations below are not connected to us and offer help at no cost to you. You do not need a diagnosis, a referral or an account closure to make contact.
- GambleAware provides clear information about gambling harm, prevention advice and a self-assessment, and directs people to free treatment services across Great Britain.
- GamCare offers free counselling and structured treatment, online and face to face, for anyone affected by gambling, including partners and family members.
- The National Gambling Helpline is open every day of the year and gives confidential, non-judgemental advice over the phone or by chat, with onward referral to local support.
- GamStop is the free national self-exclusion scheme: one registration blocks you from gambling sites licensed in Great Britain for the period you choose when you sign up.
- Your GP can discuss the health side of gambling harm, and free debt advice charities can help you deal with money problems before they grow.
Many banks and card providers also let you block gambling payments from your account, and software is available that prevents gambling sites loading on your devices. Used alongside self-exclusion, these measures make it much harder to act on an impulse to play.
