What personal data we collect
We collect only the data we need to run your account, keep the site secure and meet the duties that come with holding a gaming licence. Some of it you give us, some is created while you use the site, and some reaches us from partners who help us check the details you provide.
Account details
From registration onwards we hold the details below.
- Your name, date of birth and residential address.
- Your e-mail address and mobile number.
- Your username and password, which we store in a protected form.
- Your account currency and the contact preferences you set.
- The deposit limits, session reminders and other controls shown in your account.
Identity and age checks
We must confirm that you are 18 or over and that you are who you say you are. For that we may ask for a photo identity document, proof of your address, proof that a payment method belongs to you and, where our checks call for it, information about the source of your funds. We also keep a record of the checks we carried out and their outcome.
Transactions and play
- Deposits, withdrawals and the payment methods you use, as set out in the cashier.
- Your balance, stakes, wins, losses and the games you open.
- Bonuses credited to you and any wagering progress recorded against them.
- Log-in and session times, together with any limits, time-outs or self-exclusions you set.
- Messages you send us by e-mail or live chat, and the replies we send you.
Device and usage data
- Your IP address and the approximate location it indicates.
- Your device type, operating system and browser.
- The pages and games you view and how you move through the site.
- Identifiers set by cookies and similar technologies.
Cookies and similar technologies are dealt with separately in our Cookie Policy, which lists the categories we use, what each one does and how to change your choices. Non-essential cookies can be declined at any time; essential cookies are needed for the site to work and to keep your session secure.
Why we use your personal data
We use your data for the following purposes.
- Running your account. Registering you, taking payments, settling bets, paying withdrawals and keeping your history accurate.
- Verifying age and identity. Confirming you are 18 or over, checking the documents you send and completing the KYC checks we are required to carry out.
- Preventing fraud and money laundering. Spotting duplicate accounts, bonus abuse, stolen payment methods and suspicious patterns, and reporting where we must.
- Keeping you safe while you play. Applying the limits and breaks you choose, acting on signs of gambling harm and honouring self-exclusion requests.
- Meeting our legal duties. Holding the records the law and our licence require, answering lawful requests from authorities and handling complaints.
- Support and site security. Answering your questions, investigating faults and protecting the site against attacks.
- Offers you asked for. Sending promotions by e-mail or SMS only where you have opted in.
The legal bases we rely on under UK GDPR
Data protection law lets us use personal data only where we have a legal basis for doing so. In plain words, these are the bases we rely on.
| What we use data for | Our legal basis | What this means |
|---|---|---|
| Opening and running your account, settling bets and payments | Performance of a contract | Without it we cannot give you the service you signed up for. |
| Age and identity checks, anti-money-laundering records, regulatory reporting | Legal obligation | The law and our licence conditions require us to do it. |
| Fraud prevention, site security, internal records and disputes | Legitimate interests | We have a genuine business need and have weighed it against your interests. |
| Marketing e-mails, SMS and similar messages | Consent | You chose to receive them and can stop them whenever you like. |
| Anything you tell us about your health or wellbeing in relation to gambling | Consent or substantial public interest | We use it only to protect you and share it only with staff who need it. |
Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time in your account or by writing to us. That stops future marketing, but it does not erase data we are obliged to keep. Where we rely on legitimate interests you can object, and we will stop unless we have strong grounds to continue.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as your account with us is open, and afterwards for the period the law and our licence conditions require. We do not keep it indefinitely.
- Account and verification records. We hold these for the life of the account and for the retention period that applies to gambling and anti-money-laundering records once it closes.
- Transaction and play history. We hold this for the period required for financial, tax and regulatory record-keeping.
- Safer gambling records, including self-exclusions. We hold these for at least the length of the exclusion and for any minimum period that applies afterwards.
- Marketing preferences. We keep a record that you opted out, so that we do not contact you again.
- Support messages and live chat transcripts. We keep these for a limited period, so that we can deal with queries and disputes.
When data is no longer needed we delete it or anonymise it so that it can no longer be linked to you. If you ask us to erase data while we are still under a duty to hold some of it, we will tell you what we must keep and why.
Your rights and how to use them
Under UK GDPR you have these rights over the data we hold about you.
- Access. Ask for a copy of your personal data and an explanation of how we use it.
- Correction. Have inaccurate or incomplete details put right.
- Erasure. Ask us to delete data we no longer have a reason or duty to keep.
- Restriction. Ask us to pause our use of your data while a question about it is looked into.
- Objection. Object to use based on legitimate interests, and stop marketing at any time.
- Portability. Receive the data you gave us in a commonly used electronic format.
- Withdrawing consent. Switch off marketing or other consent-based use whenever you wish.
- Human involvement. Ask for a person to look at an automated decision that affects you significantly.
To use any of these rights, write to support@casino-mrsloty.co.uk or open the live chat on the site. Tell us which right you want to use and give us enough detail to find your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we never disclose your data to someone else, and we will reply within the time limit UK data protection law allows.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data or your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection. We would rather hear from you first so we have a chance to put things right, but you do not have to come to us before you complain.
